GPS Systems are all the rave in the motor vehicle industry today and continue to grow in popularity as people begin to travel more via their vehicle instead of by plane, train, or bus. GPS stands for Global Positioning System. The GPS system was developed by the United States Department of Defense and is used by civilians to find their exact position on the map when driving around the state or the country. Its official name is the NAVSTAR GPS and is monitored by the United States Air Force 50th Space Wing.
